that not only will any of the orphanages appreciate items, but I also find that all the balinese in general are very appreciate. If you cant make it to one of the orphanages during your stay, then I am sure your hotel cleaner, workmen at the side of the road or kids in the street will happilly accept anything you wish to donate.
p.s. I have been to an orpanage in Giangar and Senegigi
We take heaps with us, some purely to donate and some to use while we are there and then give away instead of bringing back. We give everything from toothpaste to towels.
