Tried Phuket. I have always wanted to see Thailand. I liked it but kept comparing it to Bali. I know you shouldn't. The scenery is amazing but you can't beat the Balinese for friendliness, openness and acceptance. Shopping didn't compare either.
I would still like to see more of Thailand because I know there is more to experience than touristy Phuket and Malaysia too. But Bali will always be special to me.
