As a long term resident of Bali, over 12 years now, and someone that travels a LOT all over Indonesia with my business, I find people from many of the other islands are actually more freindly when met on their home turf, than the average Balinese.
I don't know if it is because foreigners are common in Bali and the people have become blase, or if there are other reasons, but it would be nice to see people travel more in Indonesia and appreciate some of the other places and people the country has to offer.
It's a magnificent country, but I guess this isn't likely to happen anytime soon given the current state of affairs.
