I just came back from a memorable 17 days stay in NUSA DUA.
I enjoyed the country, the people and ........ everything.... except the balinese driving habbits. These forum has sometimes had some
recommandations on the "blue taxis" (Bali Taxi / Blue Bird).
I can NOT second this. 98% of the drivers in this taxis drive
"like hell", and you really risk your life entering their cabs.
"Locals" told us: "they all drive like hell" ... but this is NOT true, there is one company (KOWINU - the goldcoloured cabs) which
is more aware of th passengers life than the others.
Especially one of the drivers - we hired him several times for the whole day (200 - 300.000 IDR). His name is Made. If you are interested in name and number please drop me an e-mail (gw@falcksecuritas.dk).
Unfortunately you normally only find KOWINU cabs in / around NUSA DUA,
but Made (and possibly all the others) are more than willing to pick you up from all the other tourists areas.
