Steps at Gunung Kawi

well there are about 250 down and then back, I visited in March this year. I think It may be too much for them plus I don't know if they would be that impressed with the carvings known as the 'kings tombs' really. I think a nicer place to take them that would interest them as there are a lot of colourful carp to feed (you can buy biscuits from a shop across the road to the entrance) is the spring temple at Sebatu which is a few more kilometres further on. The spring temple is known as the Pura Gunung Kawi, the same name, so make sure the driver knows that you want to go to the village of Sebatu to the spring temple there. There are not the steps and it's much more tranquil, and the kids would love the fish. Hope this helps.
