may I suggest International Tourist Medical Service. I developed what was it seems was an allergy and needed a doctor. I phoned BMIC but there doctor was out on an emergency but they suggested I catch a taxi there when he was back. Me, alone, ill, catch a taxi at night, I don't think so. I then phoned reception ( I was staying at the Ramayana) who contacted a doctor. The doctors rooms phoned me to find out my problem. They did not expect me to catch a taxi anywhere and sent a doctor within the hour. Dr Harry Wirawan S. He was terrific. He arrived with an assistant and a large suitcase (this contained most medications needed). He spoke good English and assured me that the tablets he gave would not affect the medication I was taking. He visited me again 2 days later to check on me. I required something else but as he did not have it in his suitcase, he had the medication delivered to my hotel later that afternoon. The total cost to me was 900,000rp which equated to approx $128.00AUD for 2 hotel visits and various medications. I rang my insurance companys 1800 number and they sent the claim forms to my home address. The company is Covermore (bought from Flight Centre) and they said they have a 10 day turn around. They were very helpful on the phone and phoned me later to check on me.
