The companies, organizations, and even individuals who advertise on CNN negotiated their contracts for dates, times, etc. months ago. It has nothing to do with whatever tragedy (or in different times, joyous occasion) happens to be newsworthy at the time. Are you hoping to convince yourself that China Airlines doesn't have a First Class section? Who do you expect to pay CNN's bills? CNN uses the ad money to produce its worldwide news business which has likely saved some lives and reunited some families with its information gathering and broadcasting capabilities. What is "disgusting"? Would you rather the whole world was swamped with a tsunami? Will that help the victims of this tragedy?
Have you stopped eating or even shopping for groceries because so many in the Indian Ocean rim have no food?
