Thanks for the report Col. Will sure miss the beachside warungs but I think the enterprising owners will keep something happening there. It sounds like visitors are very seasonal (as usual I guess) - must have been busier during the Aussie school holidays and the euros haven't arrived yet.
Which restaurants are good at the moment?
I am always amazed when I get to Sanur and find it so quiet, but then again the laid back atmosphere is why it's my first choice. We have got stuck in a bit of a rut of a week or two in Sanur to relax and loose the white glow, new tourist look then head up the east coast staying in Candi dasa and Amed and finishing with a few days in Ubud. Heaven.
