you are wasting your breath - these people come on here to hear what they want to hear. I had many a disagreement after Sept 11 and was told to "stay home and knit", and I was told nothing would ever happen in Bali, when I questioned people as to why they were asking a travel forum whether it was safe? I also wonder where the people who say yes it is safe are getting their information from?
I too am not saying stay away (I went in February), but for goodness sake make your own decisions, don't rely on a bunch of tourists to keep you informed.
