You have more chance of being killed in Indonesia than Saudi Arabia if you are either a Westerner or christian.
And sorry to say places are definitely safer than others in terms of terrorist activity directed towards westerners. I mean obviously Argentina, Fiji and NZ would be safer places than Indonesia, Australia or Saudi Arabia.
