the kidnapped story was all over the internet news if you didn't see it you must be blind, but it is on the increase, I live in bali and have had to upgrade security due to being western, pregnant, an easy target and the fact that even tho times are tough the balinese are not tightening their belts they still drink and gamble like there is no tomorrow and this is increasing their poverty problems, they don't get it and have no idea about saving for a rainy day, sorry but that is the honest truth I know my husband is balinese and so I handle the money
