It really is sad, but I think that the Austrailian media, much like that here in the US is largely to blame for added 'fear factor'.
Even though there is no new threat level, there's a lot of additional news coverage and it keeps people reading and watching.
I know that the warnings aren't enough to keep me away-- I'll be back at the end of the month, beginning in Java and ending in Bali.
