At the top of the main page is a button for searching the forum. There is several years of advice in the archives. I suggest you type in the letters JBR or Just Back Report and read what people have had to say on their return. Keep a notebook handy and jot down the places and restaurants that sound good to you. Get some Bali brochures from a travel agent and look at the hotels that sounds good to you and type the name of them into the search engine and you will find references to them, what people thought of them. You can also search the archives (the other button) and go back through several months and read the posts for those months that mention tihngs like favourite restaurants and drivers etc. Choosing where to stay in Bali is another thing. It depends on your preferences (busy night life/lazing by pool all day/shopping/exploring the less populated regions/culture discovery tour/snorkelling or scuba diving or surfing focus). It also depends on your budget - you can find very basic backpacker type accomodation or you can go five-star resort. Most of all, I would say...go, experience something you may never find again anywhere else. And give us your JBR when you return, please, please! We just love to read about people stepping out of their comfort zones and finding the magic that has already turned us into Bali addicts!
