find the little sachets from the airline staff really help. at least on the longer flight. i'm certainly going to try everything you suggested. my sister is worse than me and cries with the pain too. the worst bit is that it takes days/weeks to get over. i've still got a noisy (squeeky) ear but that might be from an infection. and that's another story entirely. thanks again. :)
