Been back from Bangkok and Phuket holiday for 4 weeks now....fab time. Not unlike Bali in a few places. Love these forums - www.travelforum.org/thailand , www.penangtalk.com ( for Malaysian info) as well as this forum.....sooooo much information shared.
Good luck with the procedure....enjoy the place as well. We found it fascinating..... now they have TEMPLES!!!! Did the day trip to the floating markets...worth it. Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha - a must! Jim Thompson's House/Museum and Silk outlet factory not to be missed.
