for the advice..we will get the deluxe if there is a vacancy..we're going at the end of may for three weeks so have some time still.
flights confirmed...for the first time flying AP. always have flown garuda before but with the new times AP looks attractive.
as mentioned in a post a few days ago, garuda have a problem at times coming into perth from denpasar with late or cancelled flights.
the usual excuse is that perth is fogged in...on three occasions this has happened to us and they try to leave you at the airport with no garuda representative to explain what is going on...no one wants to know you...and on two occasions, altho they put us up for the night in fairly good accommodation, after making us wait round for hours with no communication at all, the faxes they said they were sending on our behalf to family to explain the late flight, never arrived?...we couldnt say they didnt send them but hey...
we have never known perth to be fogged in and the excuse was always pretty lame..its just an indication of garudas lack of credibility sometimes...if they would just come out and explain what the problem is, most people would be ok with it...to be just ignored when you have work the next day and want to know what is going on is not pleasant.
AP gives those of us frequent garuda customers one way to show them that we dont like being treated like idiots and if there is an alternative, we will look elsewhere until they get their act together.
other than the above problems, let us say that mostly we have found garuda to be pretty good.
anyway..back to the legian beach hotel.
as with sinter, we have stayed at the mandira lately and would have again except that they are totally booked out..we like the area...good surf close...and having stayed at legian beach many years ago now, from what we have heard, it does appear to be similar in quality to the mandira.
we will look at the web page thanks everyone however from the comments we have received it looks very good.
