I haven't owned a Makro card in about 4 years.
The last straw for me was when I visited one day with the intention of only purchasing 1 item, arriving just before 8AM, in the (vain) hope of avoiding the inevitable line of shoppers at the register.
I picked up my item and headed for the register, and of course there was the line of shoppers, probably all with a similar plan to my own. Some had carts piled roof high with groceries and there was ONE register open. I waited for about 15 minutes but the sight of so many other employees wandering around aimlessly, or standing there with their fingers buried up their noses to the third knuckle while the one girl scanned mountains of toilet paper, sent me over the edge.
I put my item back and left, depositing my card in the big perspex box near the door as you leave, and I have managed to live without Makro ever since.

Cheers, FB
