I'm not sure if I had the new or old owners.
The room I had was nice enough... 2 decent sized beds, fridge with minibar, clean bathroom with toiletries provided, aircon, TV with cable, 2 bottles of water ever day.
The pool looked fine, but I didn't use it. I ate at the restaurant once and the food was fine and very reasonably priced. You get a free cooked breakfast, though I tend to sleep too late to take advantage.
I didn't hang out there much, coz hotels tend to be things I stagger out of soon after waking, and stagger back into when the bars close.
The staff seemed nice enough to me, if slightly clueless... maybe they were the new owners and hadn't settled in yet. I saw no sign of renovations, but I wasn't looking too closely.
One thing, though... a couple of Indonesian friends came to visit me, and they said they got a really bad vibe from the people at reception, and consequently didn't feel comfortable going to my room. I'm not sure exactly what that was all about, but whenever they visited, we'd talk outside or in the restaurant.
