When I went to Indonesia, I had the option of paying AU$680 for a return flight to Bali and 8 nights accommodation.
BUT... because I wanted to spend more time in Indonesia and see some the awesome sights and meet some of the fantastic people outside of Bali, I ended up paying AU$820 with only five nights accomodation.
So, to stay longer (and consequently spend more money IN Indonesia), it cost me an extra $140 PLUS 3 nights accommodation.
Basically, I paid more for less so that I could help their economy more.
As things stand, looking purely at airfares to Jakarta... it's cheaper for me to take a package to Thailand with 7 nights accommodation, then fly to Jakarta.
So, I guess what I'm asking is... doesn't anyone offer packages to Yogya or Solo or Jakarta or Surabaya?
