I am staying in an old suite room now. I recieved a free upgrade, which I think they will do for most people if they have spare rooms, just ask when you check in.
I looked at both rooms (old and new) and I chose the old.
The new rooms are smaller, however, more modern. I felt like the old upstairs suite rooms have more access to the breeze off the beach and they are almost twice the size.
It is a personal choice I suppose. Either way you will have a great time. I hope this is useful.
