my brown burmese cat is the best rat catcher in Melville, close to the river, and chooks and birds, and palm trees and grapevines (eat the seeds). Yuk, yuk. She brings them in at any time, and I usually have a gardening glove on hand, so I can get it off her, and if it's small enough, I send it down the loo !!!!

It's better if she kills them first B4 bringing them home.

No, cats never eat rats, maybe a baby one - part of. We've had a resite for a few days now, but ........

Years ago, my son and I tried to 'gas' one with the exhaust of the car - took bl... ages, and hilarious at midnight.

This is a cat who's mother is a show cat, kennel reared, etc etc, but it was sure in her instinct.

She'd have a ball in Bali !!!!!

And BTW - if you think your animal has ingested rat/mouse that has eaten baits, Vitamin K is the cure. Next doors spent a fortune on a dog they were minding that ate poisoned rats.
