We live in the country - miles from anywhere and still have rats of the bush variety though (I think). One of our dogs loved killing them, having a good chew and then leaving them for me to collect. He'd growl and snarl at my male partner if he went to pick it up, just had to be me the girl of the house. I've been in Bangkok many times and seen Rats there you could throw a saddle over. This March will be my first trip to Bali. I figure if I can deal with rats, red-bellied black snakes, brown snakes, tiger snakes, huge spiders and the ever popular toads at home, rats in Bali will be a walk in the park.
