After reading many recommendations on the forum for French Leather, we decided to make 2 jackets there. I gave Matt a picture of a lady's jacket to copy and it turned out to be too tight, despite having told him it had to take a jumper inside. The side pockets were gapping open with the jacket unbuttoned, despite specifically telling him to be careful with that, and so shallow I could only put my fingers in, not the whole hand! The lowest back part also stuck out awfully. Alteration was made and it fitted much better and the pockets were fixed. However I noticed the right sleeve was slightly shorter than the left. Matt measured to show me the sleeves were the same length and convinced me it was my posture that was perhaps not so right. It was when we were back to our hotel that I discovered it was the right side shoulder part that was about 1 cm shorter.

The other jacket was a man's, design chosen from one on their rack. The fit was good but the leather on the left chest was very creasy but Matt said it was from the same leather piece and couldn't be changed. To me, they could've used it on another part of the jacket than right in front or simply should have used a nice piece of leather to begin with. The back part of the jacket also sticks out a little.

Matt was very friendly but sorry to say, the workmanship of his jackets was at best only so-so. Lining was not stitched properly (lots of gather on 1 side) nor ironed. There were glue marks at many spots, including at the front where it is really noticeable. We had asked for the best quality leather but what we have is really questionable as there are some blemishes on it. Based on the 2 jackets we made there, we were really disappointed. Maybe we were just really, really unlucky.
