My girls had their hair done right out the front of Bali Hai on the beach. The ladies are lovely but don't be afraid to barter them hard as they will ask ridiculous prices to start with and then laugh about how much you paid afterwards. I know from experience. I can,t remember how much I paid- a search on the forum will give you current prices. There are also women walking around Kuta square who will braid and they were cheaper. I don't think the beach sellers are allowed in the hotel grounds. Have a great time.
