When I was declined travel insurance, I was a bit miffed not getting it for non medical things, but accepting of the pre existing. Naturally having BC for 9 years you get used to some discrimination, in many areas !!
But it would have been handy for other than non pre-existing, and I would have paid a premium for that. As I had instructions if I was to get a temperature on the trip, to get home, or to a medical facility with IV antibiotics. I did carry antibiotics with me, and when a previous cold flared up, I got back onto them quickly.
I will take this issue to the National Breast Cancer Organisatons of Australia for their consideration. I was knocked back for any form of travel insurance three times !!!!!
Wonder does it mean that I have a preexisting illness, I would have been more likely to have got hit by a bemo !!!!
Cheers, Ann
