Hi there, there are many many places in Ubud, and closer in to the centre, that have lovely romantic villas and accommodation. Do you want to be in a villa or a lovely big cottage type hotel room, as most accommodation in in two storey buildings with four accommodation units.
The Hotel Tjampuhan has lovely romantic rooms, and there are many others also. Have a good look around the many sites on the net, even get the Lonely Planet book and have a read, as it covers all types of accommodation.
Good luck, and no matter where you stay, you will enjoy it. It is a magical place.
