If your hotel has a water purification system, use bottled water to drink and brush your teeth (just to be sure), but don't worry about washing your face in the shower so much...just keep your mouth closed. If your hotel does NOT have a water purification system, it wouldn't hurt to keep the water out of your face.
Also, if you want to be EXTRA careful...peel your own fruit, keep your hands sanitized, sanitize your can and bottle tops before drinking out of them, avoid salads and uncooked vegetables rinsed in water, don't eat hot food that's only luke warm, avoid ice, don't drink too much, etc. It's really up to you how many bugs you want to allow in your system and how lucky you are feeling.
