Depends what takes your fancy.For the first time visitor i suppose the mandatory day trip to Kintamani volcano and Ubud would be on the agenda.Then you get to see villages and some scenery ( rice fields etc).
Over to Denpasar and into Ramayana department store and over to Sanur whilst you are at it.........(you can do water sports there),would be another day.
Around Kuta and Legian,There are 2 Mataharis department stores,Art Markets,general markets and i think a visit to Poppies restaurant is a must.
Another night would take me to Jimbaryn bay to SHARKIES for 4.30,watching the sunset and waves roll in whilst eating the best seafood ever.(i thought the prawns were the lobster).
Plus of course you have mentioned waterbom.
I think those things would give you a pretty good go at getting to know Bali.
