Travellers cheques are going the same as the dinosaurs and the audio cassette tape. Extinction
They are a waste of time , expense to get and then at the end you are rewarded with a lower exchange rate. besides who want to carry around their passport when there is no real need to.
Stick with cash stored in your safety deposit box which should be perfectly safe if your hotel is of sufficient standard.( this is the best way to rate hotels eh! )
i would not bother with yankee bucks unless that is where you are coming from.I had some that were dated 1996 and i had no end of trouble getting then changed until I found PT headquarters that had an auto checking machine that proved they were not counterfiet.
