I'd second the recommendation for Tutmak Cafe. Great coffee, and they have the best tuna steak salad around. On the other hand, I found Cafe Wayan extremely overrated. They seem to be resting on their laurels. The food was always overcooked and not very fresh. We had much better meals at Tutmak, as well as the Jazz Cafe (great pizza), BB's and Dirty Duck 1. I'd also recommend Ari's Warung. It's pricier than most of the restaurants in central Ubud but there's a good reason for it. The food was consistently the best we had in Bali. The only meal that was better for us was at the Kedai restaurant in Candidasa, which happens to be the same owner as Ari's.
