This was posted on another forum by Mimpi who is currently in Lombok visiting her husband where they are building a house.
"A word of advice for anyone travelling from Bali to Lombok. Mark Air are no longer flying this route. The Mabua Express is also not running at the moment. This is resulting in the remaining Merpati flights filling quite quickly. Just turning up hoping to get on is no longer such a good option. (Contrary to advice I have given in the past) I managed to get on standby but my friend was not so lucky.
Lombok is busier than I expected it to be but still very quiet for this time of year. I got to meet Lorraine a few nights ago which was great and I expect to see more of her on future trips. She looked like and it sounded like they were all having a really good holiday. Talking to her inspired me to get back on the forum again!"
