I inspected Nathan when I was in Bali in April as it's promoted heavily by Garuda Orient Holidays in their "Budget" range.
Way up a narrow dog-infested alley, I found this most awful hotel called Nathan. Can you believe that any hotel would have "Deluxe" Rooms without a window?? Even worse, whole room illuminated by a light bulb which could have been no more than 40 Watts. There WAS a table and chairs in corner but had to grope my way to find them - let alone attempt to try to read or write at it. Mould in showers, just cold water over basin in bathroom.....won't go any further except to say that I immediately phoned David in my office - put Nathan on "Stop Sell" and asked him to contact clients we had booked there (based on the advice from Garuda Orient Holidays) and advise them to change their accommodation.
For just a little more, if you really want to be in Tuban, you can have Bali Garden (great reports from clients who've stayed there) or the always-reliable Green Garden Hotel.
I would gladly stay personally at either of these properties but NO WAY would I sleep at Nathan! We had clients (in Bali same time as I was on own arrangements so couldn't contact them) who checked-in...looked at room (took video evidence of how gross it really was) and then moved to Green Garden.
I'm sorry if I may offend the owners of Nathan but ALWAYS tell it exactly as it is!!
