Just got back from bali yesterday. We bought back about 90 dvd's. All work perfectly. Subtitles can be turned off. Some of the newer ones (like Hulk, 2 fast 2 furious, daddy day care etc..) not perfect viewing, but still very watchable.
All the others are great. You can get them everywhere on the streets. We bought from all different shops and tested them all b4 buying, but didnt have a problem with any of them. Ramayana in Denpaser sells a wide variety for 15,000Rp. Also x-box, PS2, VCD's and I think some computer stuff. All on the top floor.
