The massages as advertised in hotels are all non-sexual, bali is NOT thailand concerning massages.
About prices for massage it depends on where the massage is, it can be a place in a hotel or a separate massagesaloon.
The best massages seems to be given at the MBR Melasti Beach Resort, see the archives for details and prices.
If you are picked up by a indo woman in a bar (ie mini Bar) you almost can be sure she is a pro(stitute) and she is from Java (surabaya or madoera) although she migth tell you she is balinese, you can always check her id-card.
Are they dangerous, well i've heard that many of those working girls (kupu-kupu malams= night butterfly) as they are called are using drugs and many are HIV-positiv, but it's your live and you're at risk.
Btw some of them are not girls at all, especially some girlies on the motorbike driving at jalan kartika (mainroad in tuban) are boys. They offer you some manual or oral services for a few dollar but hey only try to get you on a silent spot like the kiosks next to go-karts(after 10 oclock they are all closed) so they can steal your wallet!.
Last november it happened twice in one week, i heard it from the security boys from Bali Rani. (They know the dangerous girls)
