The place on Jl Double Six where we bought loads of sarongs is called Putri Emas. They have a large open store front that is all white tiled, and the pallets of sarongs aren't bundled too closely together, so you can really move around without getting too hot and flustered.
I also found that when she was tallying up my purchases and folding them up to put into the bags, she checked each sarong, and even pulled out two (out of the 40-odd we bought) that had slight imperfections in the print or weave, and she got new perfect ones from the bundles instead. She also gave me her phone number so I could call if I found any imperfections in the rest of the sarongs when we got back to the hotel later.
Very honest and friendly lady with excellent prices - and she speaks excellent english too.
