Ive stayed at both and i would say the barong is the better hotel, however it is also more expensive therefore it should be better. the barong is better located being in poppies 2 and has been upgraded over the last few years while the garden view in Jl padma ultara Legian is a bit tired and is in the quieter part of town.The barong has become a young persons hotel so it can be a bit noisey especially around the back pool area whereas the garden view is more for the family orientated
