I know this is probably not the place but having searched the internet on forums for Phuket I had no alternative - they were fairly ordinary. I love Bali and have been at least once sometimes twice a year for the last 8 years. This year (help!!) I am considering (just considering mind) that I may venture to Phuket after a bit of pressure from some friends. I do not like travelling blind and like the help of fellow forumites.
Where should I stay - friends say definately Patong Beach and suggestions hint at Patong Merlin. San Michelle have a New?? hotel called Bhan Thai which looks good and what about Kumala Bay. The other important question is when is the best time to go that may incorporate low season airfares AND how does Qantas fly there from Perth ie; direct, via Singapore or KL???
I am sure I will get a better response here than on the forums that I found, unless you know of a good one. thanks in anticipation.
