Thank you for your replies to our search for volunteers for our educational program at Gunung Kawi, in the village of Tampaksiring.
We are looking for dedicated volunteers who can spare one or two hours a week for teaching english or other skills they may have to the village children of Tampaksiring. The foundation welcomes over 180 children, ranging from kindergarten to junior high school. The kindergarten is open every morning from monday to friday (it is closed for Nyepi until Saraswati celebrations). Please contact Hamid, our kindergarten teacher (beniqno2002@yahoo.com) or myself for a visit. Please contact Nyoman Arcana (narcana@yahoo.com) for visiting our library or meetings our kids learning during their lessons and extra curricular activities.
We are expecting expatriates or visitors on a 2 months or longer visa to spend some time with our children for the benefit of their education. All the children are eager to learn and starve for education. You are welcome for a visit.
If you can't spend much time, we are also in need of funds for the employment of our 2 kindergarten teachers, and also the rest of our indonesian staff. We rely on donations for offering outings for the kids, such as visiting places of interests in Bali by bus. All our programs are free of charge for the kids. So we need your help.
