I order things online all the time, so I have no qualms about doing this type of thing. This time though, my travel companions are my parents and they're still a bit iffy about the whole thing and would much rather the face to face deal - even though I'll be doing the organising myself.
One other benefit, as far as I can see, is that if (heaven forbid) anything does go wrong and Bali travel isn't an option, San Michele only do Asia travel and transferring to another destination becomes expensive. Booking through a general travel agent gives you much more option in transferring to something different, on the very rare chance something does go wrong.
Not wanting to be pessimistic, but I do tend to be a realist, and I just can't afford to add extra money if that was needed.
