at The Keraton Hotel in Jimberan Bay it was beautiful we paid about $65 p/p p/n AUD ( iam pretty sure you can still get that price ), the white beach sand right at your door and you can watch the fisherman morning and night . You have the famous Jimberan Seafood every night that stretchs about 3 kms along the beach. A few resturants . It's about 4kms from Kuta taxis about $3 aud they have a shuttle bus to Kuta.
Seminak is also ok perhaps more suited to you with a bit more night life and more restuarants and clubs but beach is not as nice same dirty sand as Kuta beach. We stayed at these places before the attack but knowing Bali it will still be beautiful . Hope this helps .
