My personal fave for a medium budget is Melasti Beach Resort in Legian. Hotel is beachfront and offers four levels of rooms. Suites go for about US$85, Deluxe about $65, superior $55 and standard $45. All rates include breakfast and taxes.
The Melasti Beach Resort also has a really great spa!!
Lots of bars and restaurants in the area without all the franticness of Kuta!!
