Thank you everyone for your comments. I really am stuck now! Of course everyone has different views on resorts but it is worrying because I got this email from a tour operator yesterday:
"As per our suppliers we have been advised not to book hotels on the Sanur Beach Area. You may have heard about the Shore Protection Works on Sanur Beach which is currently implemented between Grand Bali Beach and Mertasari Beach. This conservation project will mainly focus on the development of the headlands, landscaping and beach nourishment which will prevent erosion over the coming years".
I don't want to be disappointed when I get there as we are spending alot of money on the holiday plus I want it to be special for us.
Do you know if the Sanur Beach Hotel is anywhere near the part of the beach where the works are being carried out?
I just want to "chill" for a few weeks - eat, drink and be very merry!
