offence, & gee things easily blow up out of all proportion here on the BTF, but how many of the 'nice' balinese you met, came from Java or any one of the dozens of othere islands? My point is, you simply wouldn't know. My close friends in Bali are Javanese, experience a lot of daily racism, from people saying ' oh, you're Javanese, you'll cause trouble' etc. I've seen it happen myself. So be a bit careful, it's such a dangerous thing to do, to lump anyone of any group all in together, and then to say, 'oh, well they're all the same.' People vary, look at your neighbours, are they all nice, or horrible?
But I am sorry at all the sh*t that started after your post. I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death you're right to say it.
