Kaz I am not the GM of Bali Hai.
He may have told you to "go right ahead" but that has nothing to do with my posting.
As you know, I have been TRYING to sit on the fence with this, I am a friend of you and your family but I am also an ex BHC person. I cannot sit by in good conscience and let people think badly of what I spent all those years helping to build up, it would negate all the time that I and everyone else at BHC spent trying to make BHC a good company.
Hopefully you will understand this.
BHC has good people at the top, and has good systems in place.
Let me give you an example, it's just something trivial but it illustrates what I am talking about.
We ALL, the Cruise Directors, the Sales Dept, the GM, the F&B people and the Product Manager read every guest comment card (unless the product Manager sees the bad ones first and hides them).
Those cards are read by all then a secretary tallies up the totals and they are recorded, compared, graphs are made, comments are all listed, all sorts of sh*t. Every Monday AM there is a (horribly long and boring) department head meeting that all the Dept Heads dread and those figures get pulled out and wherever things have fallen down we talk about how to fix them up.
If you walk into the BHC office at any time you can ask for comments from 6 years ago and they will all be filed away in neat folders for our reference and record. I could have told you such useless facts as '6% of guests scored the semi-submarine as excellent in June 2001 which was 3% less than in December of 1996.'
Point is I don't know of too many other companies in Bali (and probably not too many anywhere else) that go to that much trouble to monitor their guest's feedback.
Stuff does go astray, things screw up, sometimes a lot.
No where in my post did I say that any of your complaints were not valid but I will not accept people thinking that BHC is a company that doesn't care about its guests.
That is not true.
I agree that this topic is best left to die a natural death so I'll leave it at this.
End of sermon...
Cheers, FB
