Digital is great when you want to take a zillion images to record everything you see and just print a few or email them or put a slide show on the web. Digital can be used as a diary. But if you are into making photo albums to pass around, I would use film. Images of scenery need high resolution - the farther away the subject, the more pixels, the better - so for scenery, film is best unless you have a top end digital camera. I would use both types of camera on a trip to Bali or wherever.
