Yep 2002 has been one of mixed blessings for our family as well.
We're having a quiet one tonight as befits our age bracket. First to the children's hospital to see our beautiful nephew who is not a well chappie, then a takeaway and a peek at the fireworks from the back garden if we can stay awake that long. There'll be a glass or two of champers and a wish that 2003 will deal some better cards than the last one.
