As far as i am aware, the university of ballarat is affiliated with the Univeristy of Melbourne which gives them some credibility. i only know this because i am doing a psychology/management degree at monash university and to do a 4th year honours course in psychology is very competitive, and many students choose to go to the University of Ballarat to undertake this program.
