We are booked (and paid) to go to Bali on 20th December from Perth.
We made a decision early on that we would go and advised our travel agent.
We had to pay our fare by 15th November or lose our seat - I paid before that just in case as we didnt want to miss out.
So, how come people can still have a seat allocated to them when we had a deadline for payment to confirm allocation of our seats.
Surely they need the money upfront for catering and waitlisted passengers etc.
It seems unfair that someone can take up a seat who has no intention of going to Bali and some other person who desperately wants to go misses out.
Something needs to be done about it.
Meanwhile the poor Balinese suffer even more from the downturn in tourism which in actual fact might not be that bad if Garuda sorted itself out.
