As day 15 Sunday starts we dont seem much closer to getting our "stuff" out of customs. I spoke to Fatbastard yesterday and he has put me on to a friend of his that may be able to assist us with getting our 17 boxes out of Bond. (Thanks Troy).
Our restaurant is well under way with the renovations and my head is still spinning how the previous owners could operate since 1997 without a restaurant or bar licence. (Only in Bali).
Contacting the local Banjar tomorrow to get their ok and then we should have our licence to operate through soon(maybe???).
Met up with Batu Belig the other night and Ian McCleod and his lovely lady Paula turned up last night at S&S for a few drinks. Mrs gonna is so surprised that I can actually understand what he is talking about (Hes obviously Scottish, but a hell of a nice bloke to boot).
We had a few Bintangs for everyone so it ended up at Bali Qui for dinner and a few more Bintangs. We had a great night.
My motor bike riding is improving and Mrs gonna is pretty happy that we havent fallen off yet. She reckons that if we do fall off I had better be dead, or she is gonna kill me anyway.
Well enough dribble. Still pretty quiet around tourist wise , although seems more this week than last week.
The bomb site has been completely cleared and they are rapidly putting the rooves (such a word???) back on the surrounding buildings.
These people are so amazing and strong. They arrive every morning, open their shops, dont sell anything all day... yet they are back tomorrow to do it all over again. And the smiles.... ahhh.. they will never change. I love it.
Back to post again in a few days.
Cheers .
gonna.
