Hi, just stumbled upon this forum and posting first time here. I'm writing from singapore and going bali in a fortnight's time. I have a few questions, hope the friendly people here can help.
1. I have opted to stay away from the Kuta area, and gone for the Melia Benoa. I don't know much about this hotel. anyone familiar with it? Has it got a good pool? A nice beach? I like a hotel where when I walk out, there are street-side shops and stalls to look at, and local cultures to experience.
2. I'm planning on signing up 2 full-day tours, one to kintamani and one to tanah lot. any good local tour operators you recommend? And what other day tours should I consider?
3. Are food and drinks available on the streets of reasonable hygience standards?
4. Should I change my currenty to rupiah here in sg, or do I get a better rate there? Or should I bring USD instead?
5. Any other general tips?
